Autoimmune hepatitis – primary biliary cirrhosis and overlap syndrome: A case report

چکیده
Important immune-mediated liver illnesses include autoimmunity hepatitis (AIH) and primary biliary cirrhosis. Typically, they are distinguished based on histological, biochemical, serological, clinical parameters. Diagnostic criteria for many conditions typically met by patients with autoimmune disease. The diagnosis of AIH/primary sclerosing cholangitis overlap is a mix biochemistry, autoantibody profile, cholangiogram, histology; there no universally accepted this. patient can remain asymptomatic or present pruritis jaundice. Diagnosis through biopsy showing bile duct destruction proliferation. treatment high-dose ursodeoxycholic acid.

Successful Pregnancy in Autoimmune Hepatitis/Primary Biliary Cirrhosis Overlap Syndrome: A Case Report
Medical literature on pregnancy outcomes in hepatic overlap syndromes is limited. Autoimmune liver diseases are associated with sub-fertility and pregnancy is usually dissuaded in presence of portal hypertension and cirrhosis due to guarded prognosis for the pregnancy as well as the liver disease. We report a 24-year-old primigravida with autoimmune hepatitis/primary biliary cirrhosis overlap s...
متن کاملOverlap syndrome: autoimmune hepatitis with primary biliary cirrhosis.
"Overlap syndrome" is used to describe variant forms of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) which present with characteristics of AIH and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) or primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Patients with overlap syndromes present with both hepatitic and cholestatic serum liver tests and have histological features of AIH and PBC or PSC. AIH-PBC is the most common form of overlap synd...

A 42 year old asymptomatic female detected as incipient Primary Biliary Cirrhosis/Autoimmune Hepatitis overlap during routine checkup. The biochemical profile showed evolution from a mildly deranged liver function test in 2004 along with increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate to a 4 times elevation of alkaline phosphatase in 2006 with mildly deranged alanine transaminase. Autoimmune markers d...
متن کاملPrimary biliary cirrhosis--autoimmune hepatitis overlap syndrome associated with dermatomyositis, autoimmune thyroiditis and antiphospholipid syndrome.
Autoimmune liver diseases may be associated with extrahepatic autoimmune pathology. We report the case of a 52-year old woman who initially presented to the gastroenterology department for extreme fatigue, pale stools, dark urine and pruritus. Laboratory tests showed significant cholestasis and elevation of aminotransferase levels. Immunological tests revealed positive antinuclear (ANA=1:320) a...
متن کاملPrimary cutaneous amyloidosis associated with autoimmune hepatitis-primary biliary cirrhosis overlap syndrome and Sjögren syndrome
RATIONALE Primary cutaneous amyloidosis (PCA) is a localized skin disorder characterized by the abnormal deposition of amyloid in the extracellular matrix of the dermis. The association between PCA and other diseases, although rare, has been documented for various autoimmune diseases. PCA associated with autoimmune hepatitis-primary biliary cirrhosis (AIH-PBC) overlap syndrome and Sjögren syndr...
